Why You Should Avoid Synthetic Vitamins Like the Plague

If you shop for your supplements at Wlamart, discount stores, drug stores and sometimes even health food stores, you may be seriously short-changing yourself because those products typically use cheap synthetic isolates.  Some have a few natural ingredients so they can legally, by law, say "natural" on their labels.  Millions of people gorge themselves on cheap, synthetic vitamins, only to acquire and die from degenerative diseases.  Isolated vitamins are 'partial' vitamins, combined with other chemicals.  They're a low-end alternative to whole, real, complete food-sourced supplements produced and marketed by companies who have your money in mind rather than your health.  ‘Synthetic,' ‘Isolated,' or ‘Fractionated' pieces of the whole are simply not the same as WHOLE FOOD supplements.

Synthetic and Isolate Vitamins Can Actually Harm Your Health!

Man can only synthesize SOME of the nutrients because their counterparts (which are found in whole foods) are missing.  Those counterparts are synergistically in place in their natural form for absorption and assimilation.  The incomplete vitamin causes an imbalance, which prompts the "stealing" of other nutrients we've consumed to help assimilate the partial synthetic vitamin.  When synthetic vitamins are taken over long periods, or in high volume, they can actually create deficiencies of vital nutrients in our bodies.  So our body is sacrificing its nutrition just to be able to process the synthetic vitamin.

Also, heat and air can easily detroy delicate vitamins.  So it's also good to know how a company processes its products.  Always look for cold processing.

Then there is the topic of the "fillers" added to some of these cheaper vitamins.  Fillers stretch the formula out so they can sell you a larger quantity for less money.

All supplements will contain binders.  These are needed to form the tablets.  All tablets contain binders including aspirin, etc.

How much is it really costing you to continue to buy the cheap synthetics?  Adding up the cost on your health due to nutritional impalances, in addition to the wasted money on the vitamin itself, becomes costly.  Most illnesses are due to nutritional deficiencies and imbalances.

"Invest now or Pay later" -- Don't be afraid to spend money on a superior whole-food supplement.  You will benefit greatly in the long run.

-- There are actually four issues with synthetic and isolate vitamins...

  1. Nature intended for you to consume food in WHOLE form because all the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and enzymes work together as a team.  They work synergistically to give your body the nutrition it requires for optimal health.

  2. Your body only absorbs a small percentage of an isolate form of vitamins and minerals – and it utilizes even less.  Take 99 cents on every dollar you spend on isolates and synthetic supplements and just flush them into the sewer.  You get the best bioavailability and the best return on your dollar AND your health if you supplement in whole food form.

  3. Synthetic vitamins often give you massive quantities of some nutrients (usually the most inexpensive ones) and insufficient quantities of others -- not balance, and not nutrients that work synergistically the way they do in whole food.

  4. You can experience side effects of synthetic isolates from the additives and the unnatural state of the synthetic supplement, and also from your body not being able to eliminate them or use them.

Fast food and an inactive lifestyle can be a disaster for your health -- don't let your multivitamin add to the collateral damage.  In fact, you want to be sure your choice of vitamin supplementaion makes a real and significant contribution to your health, especially if you've already adopted healthy lifestyle practices.

Do you want to feel on top of the world all the time?

What Can a Multivitamin Do for You?

While I cannot endorse the practice of taking a vitamin supplement to make up for reckless lifestyle choices, poor eating habits, smoking and an inactive lifestyle, I will say that vitamin supplements do help promote your optimal health and strengthen your immune system.  Taking pro-active steps which includes taking a multivitamin to help maintain and improve good health and wellness is still one of the best things you can do for your health especially if you're already adhering to a smart lifestyle which includes a healthy diet, exercise, adequate sunshine and good sleep.  However, there are important issues for you to remember.

The best high-potency vitamin supplement on the market.....

  • GNLD post ul bullet image ...must contain nutrients that work together as a team the way they do in nature, not isolated all alone.  An example is calcium/magnesium/vitamin D which work together for optimum absorption and availability.  If you take them alone or individually you are just wasting your money and your health.

  • GNLD post ul bullet image ...must not contain additives or synthetic nutrients -- GNLD only uses natural and whole food-based main ingredients.

  • GNLD post ul bullet image ...must be produced by a highly reputable company with the highest quality control manufacturing practices in place -- focus on quality as a higher priority than quantity.  GNLD's Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) is a WORLD-WIDE GROUP of doctors, board certified nutritionists, toxicologists, neurologists, scientists and researchers with unending credentials who also care about purity and bioavailability of the products they endorse.  The SAB is NOT just some doctor or nutritionist who formulates their own private label products with the advice of certain “experts” they find who specialize in one area of nutrition.

  • GNLD post ul bullet image ...must go beyond RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance) and RDI (Recommended Daily Intake) guidelines -- RDA/RDI amounts reflect the MINIMUM lower limits of optimum daily nutrient intake.  The RDA is basically what you need to take daily to stay alive, NOT to remain in optimum health.

  • GNLD post ul bullet image ...must include the essential minerals -- Minerals add their unique layer of nutritional support.  Many high-potency multi-vitamins with rich vitamin concentrations lack important minerals or formulas that include a proper balance of one nutrient to another.  If you get too much of one nutrient and not enough of another, your body will only utilize each nutrient in relation to the amount available of its complimentary nutrient as found naturally in foods -- the rest is either eliminated (as in water soluble nutrients) or they are packed away and stored for later in your organs or joints (as in fat soluble nutrients) which can cause degenerative diseases as you get older.

Are You Getting Everything You Need From Your Diet?

Remember that nutritional supplements complement the food you eat.  They do not take the place of a healthful diet of unprocessed organic foods.  However, accessing and eating high quality foods regularly may be a personal challenge for you and your family.  Your busy schedule may lead you to cook healthy whole food less than you know you should -- and eat "fast food" more.

There are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of high-potency vitamin products on the market today, but if you do your research you will not find a company that is more committed to your health as GNLD.  GNLD is committed to purity, bioavailability and potent formulations in every bottle.  GNLD's results and testimonials tell our story best.
